About the Fleetwood Pace Arrow

Fleetwood Pace Arrow

The Pace Arrow is one of the Class-A RV offerings of Fleetwood RV. It is a part of REV Group Inc., one of the manufacturing leaders for buses, emergency vehicles, and recreational vehicles.

Fleetwood RV is not the only RV manufacturer under the REV Group. Other companies under the corporate umbrella include Midwest Automotive Designs, Holiday Rambler, Renegade RV, etc.

Aside from the Pace Arrow, Fleetwood RV makes other Class A RVs and one Class B RV.

The Pace Arrow makes sure that you can take your whole family, and then some, on your camping trips. Don’t let the compact design of the Pace Arrow fool you. It can easily fit 7 people, maybe even 8. You also do not need to worry about the cargo that your passengers have. The 340 horsepower Cummins diesel engine can handle them all.

The Fleetwood Pace Arrow comes with all the creature comforts that you and your passengers will ever want. Some of the features that come standard with the Pace Arrow include:

  • A queen/king size bed
  • Two LED TVs (a 32” and a 50”)
  • Power driver and passenger seats

And a whole lot more.

The Fleetwood Pace Arrow does cost a pretty penny. However, I can assure you that every penny that went into this RV is well spent.

Fleetwood Pace Arrow Model Lineup

The Pace Arrow comes in several floorplan configurations, which include:

  1. Pace Arrow 33D: Measures 33’11” in length, has 2 slides and can accommodate 5 person

Now, although the specs say that the Pace Arrow can accommodate up to 7 people, if your guests are not picky about sharing beds, you can probably fit more than ten people inside this roomy RV.

1. Huge Residential-style Kitchen

Just because you are on a camping trip, it does not mean you are relegated to eating baked beans in the meantime. With the Fleetwood Pace Arrow, not only will you be traveling in style. You will also have a fully furnished residential kitchen at your disposal.

The kitchen area in the Pace Arrow is much better than the one in my first apartment. There is a lot of counter space, solid wood cabinets, and enough cooking tops to prepare for a large group. You will never be left wanting in this RV’s spacious kitchen area.

Other Notable Features

  • Three-burner gas range with oven
  • Combination convection/microwave oven with built-in range hood and light

Whether you are preparing dinner for two, or a large family, the Pace Arrow’s kitchen will not let you down.

With slides completely extended, you will find a spacious living and dining area. Coupled with the Pace Arrow’s high ceiling, the slides provide you and your guests with enough elbow room for a small party.

The U-shaped dinette is big enough to seat four people. There is also an L-shaped sofa when you want to kick back and watch your favorite movies on the huge 42-inch wall-mounted LED TV.

There are also plenty of hanging cabinets lining the entire length of the living and dining area. This can prevent you from running out of storage spaces.

  • Ultraleather upholstery
  • Recessed fireplace

If you want to crash into the couch after a tiring day of enjoying the great outdoors, you will find that the Pace Arrow’s living area is more than sufficient.

3. Ample-sized Bathroom

Having a fully functional bathroom is the most important thing that you will need when you are camping. This is especially if you are in the middle of nowhere. The Pace Arrow not only provides you with a comfortable porcelain throne but also gives you a roomy, walk-in shower.

Why would you ever want to settle for gas station toilets and showering outside (although there are times when this is ideal) when you have a great bathroom in your RV?

Other Features

  • On-demand tankless water heater
  • Mirror and medicine cabinet
  • Spacious shower
  • Vented exhaust fan

4. Cockpit

The Fleetwood Pace Arrow is based on a Freightliner XC-Series chassis, which gives the RV a spacious and fully functional cockpit. Driving the massive Pace Arrow might seem intimidating. However, when you hop into the cockpit, you will find that it is quite comfortable and not as difficult as you first thought it would be.

The captain’s chair is comfortably upholstered. It has adjustable seat height and is completely reclinable. Both the driver’s and passenger’s seats can swivel around to face the interior of the RV. There is also a small table that both the driver and passenger can use as a workspace.

  • Driver and passenger side roller blinds
  • Tilting and telescoping steering wheel shaft
  • Intermittent wiper controls
  • Cruise control
  • Dual dashboard monitors for the side and backup cameras

5. Master Bedroom

You will never even want to think about checking into a seedy roadside motel when you are on a week-long road trip once you see the master bedroom of the Pace Arrow. The main sleeping area is so spacious that you do not need to crawl to the bottom of the bed. There is enough room on both sides so that you can get up as you would normally do.

The recessed headboard also has additional storage spaces, including a shelf for a CPAP machine.

Other Features

  • Queen/King-size Dream Easy articulating bed

Engine and Transmission

The Pace Arrow is powered by a 340 horsepower Cummins I6 6.7L diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. For its size, 340 horsepower might seem lacking.

However, since it is a diesel engine, you can expect it to have a lot of torque, 700 ft-lbs, to be exact. This means that the Pace Arrow will have no trouble towing up to 10,000 pounds of additional weight.

The Pace Arrow has a 100-gallon fuel tank and has a superb 12mpg gas mileage (highway speeds). With this kind of fuel efficiency, you can plan more road trips in the future.

Outdoor Amenities

If the weather is nice outside, pull out your lawn chairs and park them under the retractable vinyl awning. Now, if you want to entertain your guests with a nice outdoor barbecue or dinner party, you can expect the exterior to be well-lit. This is all thanks to the LED patio lights.

The Pace Arrow also comes with four hydraulic leveling jacks. You can control it from the cockpit. With that, the RV will always be level, no matter the ground condition. This is very important as the leveling jacks will also keep the slide-outs from getting damaged.

Key Specs of the Fleetwood Pace Arrow

The Pace Arrow might have all of the creatures’ comforts that you can expect from a luxury RV. It also covers all of the basics and then some.

Here are some of the most important details that you will appreciate when you are out camping:

  • 100-gallon freshwater holding tank
  • 60-gallon grey water holding tank
  • 32-gallon black water holding tank
  • Provisions for one 28.6-gallon propane tank

Is the Fleetwood Pace Arrow a Good Buy?

The Pace Arrow, as you can probably tell, is not an RV for those without deep pockets. Expect to pay upwards of $300k for the higher-end floor plans.

However, despite the steep price tags, you can be sure that the Pace Arrow is worth every single penny. Aside from the spacious recreational vehicle that can accommodate 10 persons, it also oozes luxury at every pore.

Fleetwood Pace Arrow Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Excellent gas mileage for a vehicle its size
  • Lots of sleeping spaces
  • Large and roomy main sleeping space
  • Lots of storage spaces
  • Excellent aftermarket customer service

Cons:

  • The dashboard is mostly analog, making the cockpit look dated

Conclusion – Fleetwood Pace Arrow Specs and Review

The Fleetwood Pace Arrow is one of the several Class-A recreational vehicles manufactured by the Fleetwood RV. It is powered by a 6.7L Cummins Diesel Pusher engine, mated to an Allison 6-speed automatic transmission. This RV comes in several different floor plan configurations and can accommodate up to 10 people.

Although the Pace Arrow is not the most affordable RV out there, you can be sure that it is worth every single penny.
